AjiFanta is a dedicated and innovative consultant specializing in institutional development and community advocacy, with over eight years of experience working with social justice, faith-based, and immigrant communities across New York State. Her impressive background spans program management, policy development, and coalition building, making her an ideal partner for organizations seeking to drive meaningful change.
Throughout her career, AjiFanta has championed initiatives aimed at combating racism, Islamophobia, and faith-based hate. Her adeptness at uniting diverse ethnic and racial groups has led to successful coalitions that address profound issues such as housing injustice, food security, and access to resources for marginalized communities.
AjiFanta’s skill set includes program management and development, fundraising, legislative drafting, community organizing, and interfaith peacebuilding. She has served as the Advocacy Program Manager for the Muslim Community Network, a Research Assistant at Human Rights Watch, and an Immigrant Justice Ambassador for the UndocuBlack Network. Additionally, her leadership extends to several board positions, including the Gambian Youth Organization and Movendi International’s New York Chapter.

Abibatou Marenah
Community Engagement Director
Abibatou Marenah serves as the Director of Community Engagement at Dangdang Consultation, where she leads efforts to build strong, culturally grounded relationships between clients, interpreters, and service providers. With a background in biology, global public health, bioethics, community‑based research, and health benefits enrollment, she brings a deep understanding of how language barriers shape access to essential services such as healthcare, legal support, and public benefits.
In her current role at a healthcare insurance provider, Abibatou works directly with migrants from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate complex systems, enroll in coverage, and secure the care they need. Her frontline experience informs her commitment to language justice, ensuring that immigrant communities feel heard, respected, and supported throughout every interaction.
Previously, Abibatou worked at the Children’s Aid Society and managed volunteer coordination at the Gambian Youth Organization, overseeing weekly teams of volunteers from varied cultural and professional backgrounds to support the organization’s food pantry and community programs. Her work reflects a deep dedication to strengthening community resilience, expanding access, and building systems rooted in dignity and belonging.
